Claudia Schiffer poses topless for Tank magazineIn the fight against Photoshop, supermodel Claudia Schiffer definitely threw a mean punch.

Posing topless for Tank magazine in front of photographer Luis Sanchis, Schiffer bears a striking resemblance to her iconic Guess? campaign back in the nineties—all without retouching.

Whatever she does, the near-40 year-old has it going quite well for her. One thing we can rule out? Botox: “It’s poison in my skin and no one knows the long-term effects. I’m far more scared of that than a wrinkle on my forehead.”

But don’t worry about her, much like Evangelline Lilly, Schiffer embraces her age: “All of my friends are my age and we are all aging at the same time. We talk about it and moan, but it doesn’t bother me.”

This isn’t the first campaign at this age that she’s done without clothes, either; the German model starred alongside Naomi Campbell and Eva Herzigova for Dolce & Gabbana’s campaign ad for their Anthology fragrance. According to her, we can count on seeing her shed clothes in the future.

Victoria Beckham in Giles Deacon

Usually seen dressed in more conservative fair as of late, Victoria Beckham stepped into Bergdorf Goodman for Fashion’s Night Out with an oomph last night.

Dressed in a tweaked Giles Deacon Fall/Winter ‘09 mini dress with thigh high boots, it was a far cry from her own collection.

Well, at least we know how we ought to be sporting those Jimmy Choo for H&M over the knee boots.

Lady Gaga sporting the no pants in Paris

Oh Lady Gaga—I thought that we moved quickly beyond this whole anti-pants movement!

I admit that I’m loving the ballerina heels, your new hair, the green shades—well, everything else except for your lack of pants—but enough is enough already. While I realize that Europe is a bit more lax on these issues (clearly, given the ecstatic Parisienne fans who haven’t noticed you’re simply wearing panties), we here in the states would prefer that you at least slap a skirt on those hips.

Please?

Green queen Jennifer Connelly sporting Balmain at a premiereA true green woman, Jennifer Connelly still wears shoes she bought when she was fifteen.

The 38-year-old actress hates throwing away clothes as she thinks that it is wasteful, but admits she sometimes keeps items for too long.

“I tend to recycle. I have Doc Martens I’ve had since I was 15 that I still wear. I have to retire them soon because they are falling apart!”

Although Jennifer has become known for her show-stopping red-carpet looks—she wore a green jewel-encrusted Balmain minidress to the premiere of He’s Just Not That Into You earlier this year—she insists that her favorite outfit is comfortable jeans teamed with a T-shirt and boots.

She also finds shopping stressful, admitting her determination to find the perfect piece sometimes ruins trips to stores: “I like nice things, and I’m quite considered in my taste and thorough in my decisions. I have little patience for shopping because I get overwhelmed. There is too much stimulus and choice.”

Jennifer is not the only star who likes to recycle her clothes— doesn’t agree with throwing pieces away just because they are old and prefers to wear clothes from several seasons ago. “I get upset when designers won’t lend me something from three seasons ago because I’m like, ‘That was your better season. This season sucks,’” the “I Kissed a Girl” singer said.

Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez of Proenza SchoulerDespite their fabulous creations, you wouldn’t know that designers Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez butted heads frequently.

In their defense, Hernandez explained, “It’s part of the creative process—the dialogue.”

Their collection that’s to be shown next week at Milk, for instance, gave the pair quite a challenge. “There was a lot; it’s been a tricky collection,” McCollough said. “We’re doing new things. Like color. But color’s really subjective,” Hernandez finished.

Here’s a taste of what goes on between the two:
McCollough: A color you like I might despise.
Hernandez: Everyone sees color differently.
McCollough: If he likes red and I like blue, we wind up doing purple.
Hernandez: We do a lot of gray, because he likes black and I like white.
McCollough: I don’t really like white, actually.
Hernandez: I don’t really like black, either.

Either way, whatever they’re doing seems to be steadily working: “Things are definitely picking up from the low of last year. But stores still aren’t buying as much,” Hernandez said.

Ashley Greene to be fashion correspondent at VMAs

The upcoming MTV Video Music Awards means serious fashion commentary. So serious that MTV hired Twilight gal Ashley Greene to be the ceremony’s fashion corresepondent.

Due to Kristen Stewart‘s lack of availability (understood), the position fell into Greene’s lap.

Let’s just hope this isn’t as big of a mistake as Emanuel Ungaro’s hiring Lindsay Lohan. Tune into the awards this Sunday night.

Perhaps what the Club Monaco truck will look like?

If Ashley Olsen, Anna Wintour, and P. Diddy can’t get you to attend Fashion’s Night Out, perhaps Club Monaco will!

The retailer plans to celebrate the event by parking a cupcake truck outside their SoHo store (I’m sure shoppers will be in need of a sugar fix to finish the night).

Even if you’re not able to make it to the SoHo store, the rest of the stores city-wide will be celebrating with champagne until eleven.

As promised, Tyra Banks has unveiled her natural hair on television.

The 35-year-old supermodel, who had previously declared yesterday “National Real Hair Day,” debuted her look on The Tyra Banks Show, and was delighted when she was cheered on by the audience.

“Ok, so let’s talk about my hair. I know it’s been a big mystery, and I felt like I needed to solve this mystery. I’ve worn weaves and wigs and pieces and clip-ons and clip-downs and clip-arounds since I was 17, 18. I wanted to show the real me, the raw me. I’ve just got out of the shower and came on the stage and this is me y’all!”
